I thought I hated the gym until I found this one. I have never felt confident to approach weights in a regular gym and really don’t think I would ever have lifted a barbell if it wasn’t for the kind of space that ORKA is.

Gyms can be off-putting for lots of reasons, such as; neurodivergence, injury, disability, or trauma. However, ORKA has the welcoming community feeling that is lacking from other gyms and makes it an easy place to come to. I look forward to my sessions every week and meeting other members coming and going. Everyone is friendly and encouraging.

Trainers and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and entirely non-judgmental. They strike a necessary balance between understanding people’s limits while still pushing them to progress. I am so comfortable and confident to try new exercises here in a way I have never felt in another gym. I’m proud to be a member of a gym that understands physical injury and disability so well; there’s no place else I would recommend above ORKA.

Coming to ORKA has been a huge building block in transforming my lifestyle and attitude to exercise. If you have always hated the gym, ORKA is the gym for you!
